Urs & Juliet Fricker – Travel Photography

We enjoy travelling and photographing.
We have been travelers for the last 20 years and visited 60 countries. Travel for us is not about vacations; it is our way to learn about a wonderful world. There is nothing that energizes us more than to be in a foreign environment trying to uncover some of its secrets. We have a strong curiosity about other cultures and their ways of life. In many countries where we have been life is not easy and we have seen plenty of challenging situations. But we always find beauty wherever we go.
It is this beauty and an urge to share it that got us into photography. We also decided to see some of the more remote regions of the world. We are self-taught photographers and try to improve our skills diligently. As you can see from our images, our true love is to photograph people. We enjoy mingling with people and usually only use sign language
to communicate. But we also photograph landscapes, events and landmarks.
As part of our photography we like to tell stories and have made many audiovisual photo show and presented them to various photo clubs and interested audiences. A few shows are posted on YouTube.
